Chemical Engineering

A 'letters' journal, Catalysis Communications, aims to provide rapid publication of important short papers across the broad spectrum of catalytic research covering homogeneous, heterogeneous and enzymatic catalysis. 'Letters' are intended as brief reports of significant, original and timely research results which warrant rapid publication.

The journal is intended for practising engineers. Contributions published demonstrate how theory and experience should be meshed in order to analyze or design chemical engineering equipment and processes at reasonable cost in terms of time and effort. Covers all areas of process plant safety, from scientific and technical aspects of initial plant design and layout to choice of safe materials. It brings together the different techniques which go to make a safe process plant and provides a forum for the exchange of new ideas and to learn the lessons of the past.

The journal is an international forum devoted to research and developments in the applications of whole-cell and cell-free enzymes as catalysts in organic synthesis. Emphasis is focused on mechanistic and synthetic aspects of the biocatalytic transformation.
