AIMS AND SCOPE
The History of the Family: An International Quarterly makes a significant contribution by publishing works reflecting new developments in scholarship and by charting new directions in the historical study of the family. Further emphasizing the international developments in historical research on the family, the Quarterly encourages articles on comparative research across various cultures and societies in Asia, Africa, Latin America, and the Pacific Rim, in addition to Europe, the United States and Canada, as well as work in the context of global history. While firmly rooted in history, the Quarterly is interdisciplinary; it publishes articles on historical anthropology, historical sociology, economic history and psychology as they relate to the family and the life course.

The History of the Family: An International Quarterly publishes essays submitted by individual authors as well as special topical issues on the history of the family, the household and kinship, marriage, childhood and youth, life course and aging, and historical demography as it relates to the family. The Quarterly also publishes book review essays, methodological reports, descriptions of databases and other source materials and conference reports.

AIMS AND SCOPE
The aims of The International Journal of Accounting are to advance the academic and professional understanding of accounting theory and practice from an international perspective and viewpoint.

The journal recognizes that international accounting is influenced by a variety of forces i.e. governmental, political and economical.

The journal attempts to assist in the understanding of the present and potential ability of accounting to aid in the recording and interpretation of international economic transactions. These transactions may be within a profit or nonprofit environment. The journal deliberately encourages a broad view of the origins and development of accounting with an emphasis on its functions in an increasingly interdependent global economy, and welcomes manuscripts that help explain current international accounting practices, with related theoretical justifications, and identify criticisms of current practice.

Publishes papers containing the results of original research in all areas of contemporary biochemistry. This includes biochemical studies employing techniques of cell and molecular biology and all areas of biomedical research.

AIMS AND SCOPE
The Internet and Higher Education, a quarterly journal designed to reach those faculty, staff and administrators charged with the responsibility of enhancing instructional practices and productivity via the use of Information Technology and the Internet in their respective institutions. Papers outlining innovative deployments of Information Technology (IT) via the Internet and reporting on research designed to gauge the impact of IT and the Internet on instruction in post-secondary education will be published in each issue. An editorial board of distinguished scholars will serve in an advisory capacity to the editors.

AIMS AND SCOPE
The Journal of Academic Librarianship, an international and refereed journal, publishes articles that focus on problems and issues germane to college and university libraries. JAL provides a forum for authors to present research findings and, where applicable, their practical applications and significance; analyze policies, practices, issues, and trends; speculate about the future of academic librarianship; present analytical bibliographic essays and philosophical treatises. JAL also brings to the attention of its readers information about hundreds of new and recently published books in library and information science, management, scholarly communication, and higher education. JAL, in addition, covers management and discipline-based software and information policy developments.

The Journal of Chemical Thermodynamics exists primarily for dissemination of significant new measurements in experimental thermodynamics and thermophysics including calorimetry, phase equilibria, equilibrium thermodynamic properties and transport properties.

The Journal of High Technology Management Research promotes interdisciplinary research regarding the special problems and opportunities related to the management of emerging technologies. It advances the theoretical base of knowledge available to both academicians and practitioners in studying the management of technological products, services, and companies. The Journal is intended as an outlet for individuals conducting research on high technology management at both a micro and macro level of analysis.

The journal in covers all aspects of logic and algebraic programming: theory and foundations, implementation issues, applications involving novel ideas, and relationships with other programming methodologies.

AIMS AND SCOPE
The Journal of Mathematical Behavior exists for two reasons: to assist in efforts to improve the learning and teaching of mathematics, and to help develop a deeper understanding of how people learn and use mathematics. The editor is particularly eager to receive manuscripts on the following topics:

Observational studies that show how students think about mathematics, observational studies showing possibilities for student achievement that are not commonly recognized, observational studies that show potential obstacles to student understanding of mathematics, intervention programs to improve curriculum or pedagogy in mathematics, at any level from early childhood through university study, analyses of appropriate goals for mathematics curricula for various groups of students, analyses of what needs to be changed in curricula or in learning experiences, or what should not be changed, analyses of alternative curricula, questions of how best to describe or analyze what people do when they "do mathematics", reviews of relevant books or programs.

Because the editors believe in the value of dialog and discussion, they are particularly interested in articles that continue, extend, modify or challenge other reports previously published in JMB.

The Journal of Strategic Information Systems focuses on the management, business and organizational issues associated with the introduction and utilization of information systems as a strategic tool, and considers these issues in a global context. The emphasis is on the incorporation of IT into organizations' strategic thinking, strategy alignment and management of change issues. The journal publishes research and case study papers from around the world which:

• investigate the very nature of business in the context of emerging IT
• discuss the justification and evaluation of information systems
• discuss the organizational implications of IT
• consider how organizations have been transformed as a result of the astute management and application of IT

A transdisciplinary approach/perspective is welcome.
